You know what? Forget this silly “popular vote” thing, we should just elect leaders like we did in the good ol’ days…
We put all the candidates in a big gladiator-like arena and put them all up against complicated challenges ranging from obstacle courses to seeing who can spit the furthest, all leading up to the final grand attraction of HAND TO HAND COMBAT.
That would get young people interested in government wouldn’t it?
Some Mesoamerican tribes like the Mayans and other earlier civilizations determined who would be their leaders by who was the best at fighting, leading, strategy, and kickball; so we know it has worked before.
